Stay Motivated – How?

Yesterday I began a short series on staying motivated with goals you’ve made, be they personal or professional. I stressed the importance of not making too many goals at once, go slow and be kind to yourself through the process. Remember that it is up to you to decide if you want or need changes. If you’re happy with life and yourself as you are, then change isn’t something you need to focus on or wish for yourself. No pressure, no worries.

Today I’m going to focus on the first three tips listed in the image above.

  1. Take it one day at a time. – Changes don’t happen over night nor should they be rushed. For change to be sustained, new habits must develop and be incorporated slowly. Allow change to stew and  take one small step at a time. Success may be slow but more likely to be lasting.
  2. Surround yourself with positivity. – You can’t achieve your goals with negativity speaking in your ear and filling your head. You must surround yourself with people who support your goals and help you believe that you can make all your dreams and desires come true. Anyone who chooses to say, “You can’t” is choosing to not be part of your life. You must cut them loose to be happy and successful.
  3. Create a vision board. – Putting your goals and dreams in a concrete form makes them real. A vision board helps you create a path to achievement. When you have a path to follow you’ll see and experience the results you are seeking and success will be inevitable.

Be Pretty, Plus and Proud and keep on your path to making the changes you envision for yourself! I believe in you and you should believe in you too!
