Did you make goals for the new year? I don’t mean resolutions but just simple things you want to work towards to; 1) improve your mental, emotional or physical well-being or 2) your status in life professionally or personally or 3) your relationships with friends, family or co-workers. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out where to start or you get going and begin to feel overwhelmed or stressed with the changes you’re trying to make. Change is good but it can be the cause of anxiety, feelings of failure and the inevitable feelings of self-loathing that follow because once again you didn’t get it right. Today, know that change does not happen overnight. There is no defining beginning or end to change. It is an evolving process.Some days it all goes well and other days it feels all wrong. That is ok and you will be okay too if you follow the tips listed below. Start slow, don’t do too many changes at once and be kind to yourself through the process.
