How many of you lament over a body that doesn’t function the way you want it to or think it should? How many of you suffer from injuries, disabilities or chronic illnesses? You may think to yourself that your body is broken and unworthy of love and attention. You may think that your body has betrayed you, and that you are no longer good enough for anything.
I’m here to say today, that nothing could be further from the truth! It is when your body is sick or suffering that it needs your love even more. Your body is still getting up in the morning. It can still get things done, maybe not as much as you would like, but it can still do something. It can laugh, cry, speak, love, feel and express. It is in times of difficulty that you must give yourself grace, forgiveness, unconditional love and comfort. You must remember the tough times and illnesses do not last forever. There will be mountains to climb, but you will conquer them. You can do hard things, even when they seem insurmountable. Maybe you won’t experience a full recovery, but that doesn’t mean life can’t be beautiful and your body can’t be loved.

We must learn to be grateful, and to count our blessings. We must learn to look for the positive in every situation, no matter how dark it may seem.
So remember to Be Pretty, Plus and Proud and embrace who you are now whether you are healthy or ill. Accept any limitations. Celebrate all your successes no matter how small they may be and love yourself because you are always worthy. You are always enough and you are always important, NO MATTER WHAT!!!
