Find The Beauty All Around You

Our lives are so busy that we often don’t take much time to admire and be grateful for the beauty that can be found all around us, even in the smallest things. When you feel like life is getting you down, raise your eyes and find something that takes your breath away. Appreciate nature in all her glory and be glad you are alive to take it all in.

Yes you do so find happiness in nature, people you love, friends who support you, a job that inspires you.

Yesterday we took a drive to one of my most favourite places in all the world, Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia. I love it most because I feel close to my Mother there as it was her favourite spot to visit. I actually think that the view of the ocean sealed the deal for her to give up life in Western Canada and move here to marry her love, my Dad. I also love it for the sheer magnificent beauty of the vast expanse of ocean water, the power of the waves on the rocks and the glint of sun on the water. Its beauty does bring tears to my eyes and takes my breath away. I know that no problem can ever be too big when you contemplate it looking out upon the rocks and water.

Find joy in the little things like blowing bubbles in the setting sun.

So next time you feel sad, angry or anxious, step outside and watch the birds fly overhead, smell the flowers in your garden, close your eyes and face the sun or dip your toes in the cooling waters of a nearby beach. Be Pretty, Plus and Proud and happy to be part of such a wondrous and beautiful world!
