Happy Thanksgiving!

Here in Canada is a special holiday; Thanksgiving. We celebrate a little earlier than our US neighbours but the sentiment is the same. While we should be grateful and thankful every day for all the blessings bestowed upon us, Thanksgiving is the extra little nudge we sometimes need to remind us of how much we have.

I am so very grateful for the love and support of my husband. Without him I do not know how I would make it through life. He is my rock, my friend and soul mate.

I am so grateful God blessed me with such a strong, kind and beautiful daughter. She is smart, funny and independent; my pride and joy!

I am grateful for my sister and brother. I’ve learned strength, compassion, empathy and commitment from my relationships with them.

I am grateful for my in-laws who individually have taken me into their hearts and family and made me one of their own. Some make me laugh, some are my teachers and they are my friends; helping, supporting and loving.

I have many cousins who I appreciate immensely for their love and support throughout the good and bad times of life.

I am grateful for my friends who love me as I am and who are there for me when I need them just as I am there for them, as good friendships should work.

I am grateful for my readers/viewers/followers that I have come to know from my various social media platforms. Many of them I can call friends and I am so appreciative of their support on my body positive journey.

Last but certainly not least when it comes to the people in my life, I am so very grateful that my Dad is still with us on this earth. He may not always know where he is or who I am but his love is still there. I am still a Daddy’s girl!

I am grateful for the country I live in, the food on my plate, the clean water I drink, the warm home in which I live and the clothes on my back.

Be Pretty, Plus and Proud of all the blessings you have for which to be grateful! Happy Thanksgiving from Canada!

What are you doing this long weekend? What do you feel most grateful for?
