Our second stop on our tour of Ireland was Waterford, a town filled with Viking history. It’s also the home of Waterford crystal. This was a very quaint town with so much character. Our word that we continued to use throughout our drive around Ireland was “cute”. The community was small enough to do a walking tour so we enjoyed the stroll throughout the meandering streets and neighbourhoods. After our walk we enjoyed a nice meal at a local pub. Yummy! Enjoy this next series of photos from Waterford!
One of the many quaint streets with lots of boutiques and pubs!
A Viking excavation site; an underground tunnel like settlement.
A local pub where we enjoyed our lunch!
A beautiful sample of Waterford Crystal; the Celtic cross.
We enjoyed some traditional Irish music on the streets of Waterford provided by students of a local music school.
That’s it for post #2! Be Pretty, Plus and Proud and find joy in whatever you choose to do with your day!
